About the Institute:

The E. Schuyler Institute was spawned out of inspiration from the deeds and contributions to geopolitics achieved by it's namesake, Eugene Schuyler, one of the first American ministers to Greece, Serbia and Romania. Further, he was ordered by Congress to inspect the socioeconomic conditions of Central Asia post Russian colonization, to survey the commercial climate.  It functions as an independent nonpartisan research organization to further international cooperation and economic resilience. Through research, publications, and community outreach, the Institute aims to provide insights to guide businesses, communities and future leaders on current global issues.

Entrepreneurship

Every nation depends on its

elite human capital to construct and

design innovative solutions to the

unique issues that their nation faces.

However, some issues are not indigenous, and are endemic by nature.

By careful analysis, and strategic simulation, common-sense solutions in the public interest can be crafted and recommended.

By not only encouraging, enabling, and leading research and development into crucial sectors, but also by diversifying innovators, global solutions can be debated by all stakeholders, ensuring that what is implemented is not gatekept, and instead distribtued for the greater good.

International Relations

In an increasingly globalized reality, all too often are smaller, countries relegated to being client states of their benefactors and debtors. The resulting effect is a populace that is good  at one  trade, and lacking in others, inhibiting true development of a country.

Thus, ensuring that development and training primarily benefits and endows citizens with opportunities,  will be centerpoint in any discussions regarding the advancement of trade. For this reason, we seek ambitious junior leaders that can lead the charge in policy research and enterprise, encouraging local designs which demonstrate cross-compatibility.

Policy Research

At all levels, from local to global, the policies drafted by vested entities are the lifeblood of any administration. By studying, simulating, and applying the results, positive change can be inflicted.

The Institute prides itself on its capabilities to find policies in other regions of the globe, studying their results, and simulating them under local variables to understand the

hidden and revealed potential of such policies. Through careful curation of policy recommendation, the organization intends to present only the most effective suggestions, as an optimization of policy craft.

The Case for Entreprenuership

The core function of a state is to protect its people from external and internal threats. However, in doing so, as well as considering the rate at which political direction changes, certain critical industries experience stagnation and vulnerability. When stagnation compounds, the result is constrictions in supply chains and inaccessibility of resources.

Therefore, by placing a greater emphasis on directing entreprenuership to agricultural, energy, and defence channels, key national security competencies can be reinforced separate from any political turbulence.

Functional Approaches

A recent example of state-to-State diplomacy can be found in South Korea. In late 2025, a Diplomatic Caravan from the ROK Embassy traveled across the south west United States, intending to elucidate the importance of strategizing semiconductor supply chains.

As Phoenix, Arizona enjoys a host of various tech and semiconductor companies, it is the most fertile place to develop and strengthen semiconductor competencies, not only for the United States, but additionally for downstream allies. By engaging local stakeholders, the Embassy has demonstrated a need to which local innovators must then take those lessons and apply them to supply chain activities, be it mining, manufacturing, or end-use.

Research Supplements Policy

Research as well as experimental applications of innovative products can be tested in a controlled environment, and if proved effective, provide justification for policy recommendations.

However, policy should not be the end goal itself, as industries must insulate themselves from political fluctuations. Rather, research and development must perpetuate regardless, and seek to create the most optimal solutions to the Nation's interest.
